The Office of the Controller is responsible for accurate reporting of apportionment and benefit remittances and for ensuring that all of the Conference and District bills are paid in a timely manner.  They are also the ones that prepare the payroll and ensure all withholding taxes are submitted on time.  Another facet of this office is managing the banking and providing financial reporting for the Conference, Districts, and Benefits areas of the Conference.

Carolyn attained her Bachelor of Science in Finance and Masters in Business Administration in Ohio, where she is originally from, and received her professional designation as Certified Church Administrator from Candler University in Atlanta, Georgia.  Prior to coming to the Conference, Carolyn served as the Finance Director of Smyrna First UMC in Georgia, and was the Youth Director for Loganville First UMC. 

She has 2 grown children, Kerry and Brian and is the proud “grandmother” of 2 beautiful greyhounds!  In addition to her love for accounting and computers, Carolyn loves to hike and enjoy the outdoors with her husband Perry in her spare time.
