Seven Strategies to Navigate Change
July 16, 2019
A Workshop for Clergy and Lay Leaders
October 16 and 17, 2019
The Catholic Conference Center in Hickory, NC
Workshop Overview
A primary task of leaders is to initiate lasting and useful change in their congregations, and/or effectively navigate the whitewater of change in which they find themselves. Doing this effectively is hard, difficult work – it requires knowledge of the different types of change and well-honed skills and perspectives.
Using a mixture of lecture, small and large group discussion, and a case study, participants will leave this highly interactive experience with a concrete action plan for initiating and/or navigating an important change in their church, a change that will enable the church to better fulfill its mission.
Ideally, a clergy leader and a lay leader from a church will participate together. If this is not possible, clergy leaders are encouraged to participate by themselves.
