Four Characteristics of Leadership Identified in Call to Action

As part of the Call to Action report, presented at General Conference, the Towers Watson Research and Consulting Organization identified fourteen measures with the greatest influence on clergy leadership effectiveness.

The Leadership Development Team has been charged with developing resources related to the TOP FOUR, which include:

Focus on developing, coaching, and mentoring to enable lay leadership to improve performance

Influence the actions and behaviors of others to accomplish changes in the local church

Propel the local church to set and achieve significant goals through effective leadership

Inspire the congregation through preaching

Follow Jesus. Make Disciples. Transform the World.
