A 21st century take on Christian Discipleship
John Wesley once famously said, “There is no holiness apart from social holiness.” Over the years, many have mistakenly asserted that he was talking about social justice. In reality, he was talking about doing discipleship in the context of real relationships. In essence, you can’t become a real Christian alone.
The New Room Network is a Methodist movement that calls itself a "resource for the church" by hosting conferences, gatherings and Wesleyan bands. They take the historic bands of the early Methodists and put a fresh, 21st century spin on them that allow you to go through life with daily accountability to others in a small group. This resource allows you to create your own band through its web application accessible through a desktop, phone or tablet. You can choose the type of content and practices you want to be a part of your daily rhythm and you can allow space for discussion online.
