Date of Death: 4/2/2019 | Date of Birth: 10/24/1931; | ClergyWe have received word of the Tuesday, April 2, 2019 death of the Rev. Theodore Abraham “Ted” Kirk of Black Mountain. He was recently predeceased by his wife, Ruth Durrant Kirk in February, 2019, and preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Sandford Kirk, in 2001. He is survived by two daughters, Kristie Rachel Whiteside and Lori Ann Scander; two sons, Jeffrey Brian Kirk (Mary) and Keith Theodore Kirk (Schantey); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in the Norma Pulliam Chapel at Givens Estates, 2360 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st St, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 (www.parkinson.org).
