Date of Death: 5/28/2023 | Date of Birth: 2/11/1948; | ClergyWe have received word of the Sunday, May 28, 2023 death of the Rev. Michael Steven Byrum of Concord. Steve is survived by his wife, Katharine “Kathy” Byrum, and his brothers, Wayne Byrum (Debbie) and Jeffrey Byrum. He was preceded in death by his parents (Harrell and Gladys), and a brother, Gary. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 4149 Odell School Road, Concord, NC, officiated by the Rev. Gary Sowell, with the Rev. David Cochran assisting. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, from 10:30-11:00am. Memorials for Steve may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
