Rev. Mark M. Norman Vickers

We have received word of the Thursday, March 24, 2022 death of the Rev. Mark Madison Norman Vickers of Winston-Salem.  He is survived by his wife, Mari Ed Vickers; his son, Thompson Gray Vickers; a bonus daughter, Kaitlyn Zimmerman; mother, Joan Vickers; sisters-in-law: Carla Morgan (Doug), Cindy Wilhoit (Tom), and Marti Stegall; and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, the Rev. Susan Norman Vickers, and his dad, Hugh Arnold Vickers.  A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 2:00 pm, in the sanctuary of Christ United Methodist Church, 410 N Holden Rd, Greensboro.  The service will be live-streamed at https://youtube.com/c/ChristUnitedMethodistChurchGreensboro and https://www.facebook.com/CUMCHoldenRoad/.  Visitation will follow the service.  Mark will enter his final resting place at Christ UMC (Greensboro) during a private, family service.  Memorial donations may be made to: The North Carolina Scottish Rite Foundation, PO Box 19908, Charlotte, NC 28219; Global Ministries/UMCOR, GPO, PO Box 9068, New York, NY 10087-9068 (https://umcmission.org/give/); or the youth ministry program of the donor’s choice.
