Rev. Jackie Taylor

We have received word of the death of the Rev. Jacquelyn Sue Hovis Taylor, on Sunday, June 25, 2023.  She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Bill Taylor; two sisters, Penny Hovis, and Linda Hovis Lemons (Mark); brother-in-law, Joe Stroup; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Pervie James and Nellie Auton Hovis, and a sister, Janice Hovis Stroup.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Asbury Methodist Church in Lincolnton, with the Rev. Keys Pendleton and the Rev. Natalie Gray officiating.  Inurnment in the church columbarium will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury Methodist Church, PO Box 676, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
