Date of Death: 8/4/2019 | Date of Birth: 12/17/1937; | ClergyWe have received word of the Sunday, August 4, 2019 death of the Rev. George Roland Mullinix. He is survived by his two sons, Brett Mullinix (Brenda) and Jon Mullinix; one granddaughter; and two step grandchildren. A memorial service and internment will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 17 at Banner Elk Presbyterian Church. Visitation, celebration, and lunch will follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Crossnore School & Children’s Home, or to Avery County Humane Society.
