Date of Death: 4/25/2023 | Date of Birth: 6/26/1942; | ClergyWe have received word of the Tuesday, April 25, 2023 death of the Rev. Ellis Leroy Rouse, Jr. of Kernersville. Ellis is survived by his wife, Wanda Parker Rouse; a son, Andy Rouse (wife, Crystal); a daughter, Emily Rouse Stokes (husband, Brian); three grandchildren, Cole, Della Grace, and Graham; one sister, Nancy Ward (husband, Clyde); a special sister-in-law, Frances Kirby; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Violet; and a sister, Linda Brown, and her husband, Larry. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Hayworth Wesleyan Church, 1696 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262, with Pastors Brian Matherlee, Brian Allen, and Chris Langham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel, 3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284.
