Rev. Edward S. Tapper

We have received word of the Saturday, April 27, 2019 death of the Rev. Edward Sidney Tapper of Greensboro.  Ed was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicolas Spencer Andrews.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy Brown Tapper; four daughters: Jodi Dawn Berlant (Robert), Heidi Jane Andrews, Tami Leigh Sykes (Ron), and Penny Rose Garner (Gene); six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019, 6:00 – 8:00pm, at George Brothers Funeral Home, 803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1:00pm at Burnett's Chapel UMC, 1201 Burnett Chapel Rd, Greensboro, officiated by the Rev. Ed Armfield and the Rev. Dr. Charles Kyker.  Burial will follow the service, at White’s Chapel UMC, 1843 Low Bridge Rd, Liberty, after which, a reception will be hosted by the church.  If so desired, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Foundation of Greater Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro NC 27405 (https://www.hospicegso.org/donate-to-hpcg/), or to one of the churches Ed served.
