Date of Death: 4/5/2019 | Date of Birth: 4/4/1939; | ClergyWe have received word of the Friday, April 5, 2018 death of the Rev. Dr. Thomas Ralph Sigmon of Charlotte. Tom is survived by his wife LaVon McCurry Sigmon; their children, Mary Beth Smart (husband Mike) and William Thomas Sigmon (wife Elizabeth); four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Myers Park United Methodist Church in Charlotte. The service will be streamed live for those unable to attend in person, at the website: https://livestream.com/mpumc/sigmon. The family will greet visitors in Jubilee Hall, following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Aldersgate Resident Financial Assistance Fund, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215 or https://aldersgateccrc.com/donate.
