Date of Death: 4/4/2022 | Date of Birth: 6/2/1945; | ClergyWe have received word of the death of the Rev. Dana Bruce Wooten of Kernersville on Monday, April 4, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vickie VonCannon Wooten; three daughters: Danielle Wooten, Tiffany Cain (Ryan), and Brittany Nimeh (Tony); five grandchildren: Emma, Caroline, Logan, Lucas, and Paige; sisters, Brenda Pittman and Gail Boykin; brothers-in-law, Jim Brock and Donald VonCannon (Susan); and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the columbarium at Sedge Garden UMC, 794 Sedge Garden Rd, Kernersville, NC, officiated by the Rev. Simon Osunlana. The family will receive friends at 1:00pm, prior to the service, at the columbarium. For those attending but unable to stand, please bring a chair. Masks are optional. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ernestine L. Penry Scholarship Foundation (for ministerial students) c/o Mt Pisgah UMC, 2600 Pisgah Church Rd, Greensboro, NC 27455.
