Date of Death: 7/15/2023 | Date of Birth: 3/23/1947; | ClergyWe have received word of the death of the Rev. Dennis Wayne "Bud" Cameron on Saturday, July 15, 2023. Bud is survived by his wife, Vickie Dobbins Cameron; daughters, Mary Gordon (Jason) and McKay Valanejad (Arya); three grandchildren, Gracyn, Bailey, and Grant; a sister, Anita Cameron Carter; niece, Dana; nephews, Brent, Seth, Ethan, Nick, and Shane; and Greg Lawson, whom he considered a son. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Cameron, and brother-in-law, Lane Carter. The Cameron family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, from 6:00-8:00pm at Central United Methodist Church, 1909 N Main St, Mount Airy. A funeral service will be held at Central UMC, Mount Airy, on Saturday, July 22, at 2:00pm, followed by a graveside service at Fairview Baptist Church, 7659 NC-268, Dobson, NC 27017.
