Mrs. Helen G. Hancock

We have received word of the Sunday, June 11, 2018 death of Mrs. Helen Jean Gross Hancock of Marshville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Oros Leo Hancock, Jr.  She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Nifong (Richard), Ruth Gardner (Clark), and Donna J. Stockwell (Jerry); sons, O.L. "Buddy" Hancock and Franklin Hancock (Tanya); thirteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.  A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Hancock was held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the Chapel of Central United Methodist Church, 801 S. Hayne Street, Monroe, officiated by the Rev. Laura Hamrick.  Interment followed at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte.  The family received friends prior to the service at 10:00 am, in the Central Hall of Central United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Hancock's honor can be made to Olive Branch Family Care, 7414 Olive Branch Road, Marshville, NC 28103.
