Date of Death: 5/31/2022 | Date of Birth: 3/5/1929; | Clergy SpouseWe have received word of the Tuesday, May 31, 2022 death of Mrs. Ruth Myers Nance Montfort of Charlotte. She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Russell T. Montfort; her son, Joel Paul Montfort; her daughter, the Rev. Leslie Montfort Marsicano (husband Michael); three grandchildren, Christopher (wife Michele), Jamie, and David; and a great-granddaughter, Grace Marie. A funeral service was held at Providence UMC (2810 Providence Road, Charlotte) at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022. The family received friends following the service in the church atrium.
