Mrs. Miriam E. Hudspeth

We have received word of the Sunday, April 14, 2019 death of Mrs. Miriam Eula Ervin Wilkins Hudspeth of Winston-Salem.  Beyond her connection to the conference as a clergy spouse, Miriam was employed by the Winston Salem District Office for 23 years until her retirement.  Miriam was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Powell L. Wilkins, Jr., and by her second husband, Lloyd Hudspeth.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Deborah Reavis (Joe) and Victoria Gilchrist; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  A Celebration of Life Service with be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Maple Springs UMC, 2569 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem.  Visitation will follow the service.  A private burial will be at a later date in Statesville, NC.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society (PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or http://donate3.cancer.org); Parkinson's Research (Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131  or https://parkinson.org/research); or the Preschool Ministry at Maple Springs UMC, 2569 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
