Mrs. June H. Smisor

We have received word of the Saturday, May 11, 2019 death of Mrs. June Holbert Hill Smisor of Tryon.  She was preceded in death by her second husband, the Rev. Harold N. Smisor in 2009, and by her first husband, Mr. James Harris Hill.  She is survived by a son, James “Jamey” Harris Hill, Jr. (Katie); four daughters: Cathy June Shore (Tommy), Joy Ellen Garcia, Jeri Anna Redman (Scott), and Jennifer Lee Furman (Arlen); 16 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.  The family received friends on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 10:00-10:45 am, at Big Level Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC.  Funeral services followed at 11:00 am, officiated by the Revs. James Powell and Steve Durham.  Mrs. Smisor was laid to rest in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Missionary Clearinghouse, PO Box 219228, Houston, TX 77218-9228, to aid Missionary Sharon Silvey.
