Mrs. Grace M. Black

We have received word of the Tuesday, December 7, 2021 death of Mrs. Grace Melton Black of Bostic.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Earl C. Black Jr., and a granddaughter, Lauren Dawson.  Grace is survived by her children: Cliff Black (Diane), Kathy Plowman (Ed), David Black (Lynn), and Dawn Warren (Sabian); grandchildren: Heather Walling (Jamie), Philip Galyon (Sara), Krystal Flanigan (Justin), and Jesse Campos; great-grandchildren: Justin, Andrew, Christopher, Nathan, Riley, Anala, Molly, and Sofia; two of her eight siblings; and a number of nieces and nephews.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, 341 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043, with the Rev. Bill Perry officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.  Attendees will be required to wear masks.  The service will be live-streamed at https://www.facebook.com/fumcforestcity/.  Memorial contributions can be made to the C4C Fund at First United Methodist Church, 341 E Main St, Forest City, NC, 28043.
