Mrs. Evelyn Martin Dubose

We have received word of the Friday, October 16, 2020 death of Mrs. Gladys Evelyn McNeilly Martin DuBose of Seagrove, at the age of 101.   She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence S. Martin, and her second husband, the Rev. Horace Mellard DuBose, III; and two sons, Kelly Douglas Martin and Christy Samuel Martin.  She is survived by a granddaughter, Stephanie Nicole Martin, and several nephews and nieces.  The family hopes to hold a memorial service in the spring, if the pandemic allows.  Her remains will be placed with her first husband and sons in the cemetery of Casar UMC.  Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org, or to the Casar United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 190, Casar, NC 28020.
