Mrs. Elizabeth "Lib" W. McDonald

We have received word of the Thursday, October 4, 2018 death of Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth “Lib” Wiggins McDonald, of Hickory.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Thad L. McDonald, Jr.  She is survived by a son, Thad L. McDonald, III (Margueritte Gilkey); a daughter, Frances M. Stafford (Gary); four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Hickory, officiated by the Rev. Joe Westfall.  The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.  A private interment will be held prior to the service.  Memorial donations may be to the Lake Junaluska Assembly Annual Fund (https://www.lakejunaluska.com/support/) or to St. Luke's UMC Endowment Fund, 52 16th Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
