She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Rickey Spencer; her children: Tracy Poplin (Shawnie), Rodney Poplin (Kerry), Shane Spencer, and Cory Spencer; grandchildren: Aaron, Bridget, Patrick, Kathryn, Mackenzie, Logan, Kaitlyn, Alexander, Alec, Jessica, Cole, Candace, and Camron; a great-grandchild, Macey; three of her eight siblings: Violet Floyd, Louise Bumgarner, and Gray Lane; and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
