Mrs. Dorothy S. Forbis

We have received word of the Friday, August 16, 2019 death of Mrs. Dorothy Lee Scott Forbis in Newberry, SC.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. William T. Forbis.  Surviving are two children: Richard Forbis (Carolyn) and Joyce Barrow (Steve); three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 22, 2019, in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Winston Salem with the Rev. Ray Teague officiating.  Visitation will follow at Main Street United Methodist Church, 306 S Main St., Kernersville, NC 27284.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, https://www.alz.org/ - Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
