Mrs. Beverly C. McMurry

We have received word of the death of Mrs. Marion Beverly Christy McMurry of Lawndale, on Thursday, October 21, 2021.  Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Joseph C. McMurry, and two siblings: Edith Christy and Brandon Shields.  She is survived by two sons: Steve McMurry (wife Jerrianne Queen) and Dale Houston (wife Crystal); two daughters: Christy Devine (husband David) and Leanne Hall (husband Tim); six grandchildren: Carrie Beth Summers (husband Will), Heath Houston (wife Wendy), Andrew Hall (wife, the Rev. Carrilea Hall), Katy Curie (husband Tim), Blake Houston (wife Braeden), and Hannah Richardson (husband Dylan); seven great-grandchildren: William, Addie, Xavier, Ben, Brody, Saige, and McKinley; brother-in-law, Fitzhugh McMurry (wife Judy); and numerous loving nieces and nephews.  A graveside service was held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Kadesh United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Brian Elwell.  The family received friends following the service.  Memorial donations may be made to Kadesh UMC United Methodist Women, 5500 Fallston Road, Lawndale, NC 28090.
