Mrs. Bettie B. Hilliard

We have received word of the Wednesday, April 21, 2021 death of Mrs. Billie Etta Brewer Hilliard, at Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Raymus Franklin Hilliard; a son, Raymus Franklin Hilliard Jr.; and a grandson, William Benjamin Wood.  Surviving are four children: Carroll Dean Hilliard (Elizabeth), Susan Hilliard, Julie Rae Hilliard Wood (Bill), and Jonathan Lee Hilliard (Tonya); and seven grandchildren: Paige Hilliard, Jacqueline Hilliard, Caroline Hilliard, Hallie Hilliard, Joshua Hilliard, Lacy Wood, and Sophie Wood.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Bethel United Methodist Church, Winston-Salem, officiated by the Rev. Karen Smith and the Rev. Laura-Lee Jones.  Weather permitting, an outside service is being considered.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Attendees are requested to please observe COVID-19 protocols: wear a mask and social distance.
