Mrs. Barbara T. Evans

We have received word of the death of Mrs. Barbara Ann Toney Evans on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.  Survivors include her husband, the Rev. James H. Evans; one son, Ronald S. Evans (wife Catherine); one daughter, Sharon Diane Benfield; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 2:00pm at Whitnel United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. Lori Anne Bowen and Peter Brown.  An interment service followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens of Lenoir.  The family received friends at the church beginning at 1:00pm, prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645, or Whitnel United Methodist Church, 1373 Delwood Drive, Lenoir, NC 28645.
