Mrs. Barbara L. Crowder

We have received word of the Tuesday, March 24, 2020 death of Mrs. Barbara Jane Lowe Crowder of Givens Estates, Asheville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Richard J. Crowder, Sr., and a son, Richard J. “Rick” Crowder, Jr.  She is survived by two daughters, the Rev. Ashley Crowder Stanley (Thomas) and Lynn Crowder Greer; daughter-in-law, Franny Crowder; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  Among her extended family are Rev. Karen Kurtz, Rev. Paul Christy, Rev. David Christy and Mark Christy.  Barbara’s life  will be celebrated in a memorial service  at Wesley Memorial UMC, High Point, and the interment of her ashes will be at the Memorial Chapel columbarium at Lake Junaluska, both at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made either to Lake Junaluska Assembly, PO Box 67, Lake Junaluska, NC 28745 or to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church’s Music Ministry, 1225 Chestnut Dr, High Point, NC 27262.
