Mr. R. Daniel Looper

We have received word of the Tuesday, December 21, 2021 death of Mr. Ray Daniel Looper of Morganton.  Dan is survived by his wife, the Rev. Dr. Patricia B. Looper; two daughters: Joy Looper Bolger (Dan) and Susan Roberts; four stepsons: Joseph Dye (Becky), Patrick Dye (Robin), DW Dye (Anita), and Michael Dye (Rosa); and 18 grandchildren: Philip (Victoria), Carolyn, Megan (Justin), Lauren, Grace (Kevin), and Alex (Courtney), Joshua, Noah, Andrea, Samuel, Luke (Rebekah), Abigail, Joy, Destiny, Tyman, Charles, and Kimberly; four great grandchildren: Holden, Everly, Elizabeth, and Mia; and his brother: Robert Lee Looper (Lorelei).  In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dave Roberts, and his grandson, Caleb Andrew Dye.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00pm in the Kirksey Funeral Home Chapel, 406 Lenoir Rd, Morganton, NC 28655, officiated by the Rev. Burt Williams.  In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Grace Ridge Endowment Fund, 500 Lenoir Rd, Morganton, NC 28655.
