Mr. C. Anthony Thompson

We have received word of the Monday, May 31, 2021 death of Mr. Charles Anthony Thompson of Harrisburg.  Tony is survived by his wife, the Rev. Tina O. Thompson; daughter, Rachael Hodges (spouse, Matt); son, Jonathan Thompson (fiancée, Emily); mother, Jewell Smith Thompson; sister, Lynn Hardin (David); and brother-in-law, Billy Gray.  He was predeceased by his parents, Bobby Ray and Ida Ann Garmon Thompson, and his sister, Kathy Thompson Gray.  The family received friends on Thursday, June 3, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home (Concord).  The funeral service was held at Harmony United Methodist Church, 101 N White St, Concord, on Friday, June 4, at 11:00 am, officiated by the Revs. Thad Brown and Andi Conder.  Tony was laid to rest in West Concord Cemetery, following the service.  The family had requested that memorials be made to Harmony United Methodist Church, c/o R. Mitchell Sherrill, Jr., 406 Union Cemetery Road, Concord, NC 28027.
