“We envision a church where people live out their God-given vision.”

The United Methodist Foundation held the annual members meeting prior to the morning plenary session on Saturday.

“Your United Methodist Foundation and leaders strive for unity in the midst of our differences. We may not agree theologically and doctrinally but that should not keep us from working together to bring people together for the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” Rev. David Snipes said. “We are able to serve any ministry with a Wesleyan heritage. We are putting our money where our mouth is when we say we want to build God’s Church for generations to come. This is our call and our response to our current reality. We want to be in ministry with you.”

Susan Cothern, Director of Ministry Services shared about the Foundation’s clergy debt reduction program and planned giving programs. They also welcomed Rev. A.J. Thomas as the new Director of Client Relations.

The Foundation ended the meeting by presenting a check to Bishop Leeland for the Comprehensive Plan of Inclusiveness in the amount of $33,000.
