Peace with Justice Sunday Pastor and Leader Kit

Welcome to the 2022 Peace with Justice Sunday Pastor and Leader’s Kit. This Special Sunday kit provides a full package of ready to use resources to help your church celebrate the Peace with Justice Special Sunday and define how we give, why we give and the impact we make through connectional efforts.

All resources are available in digital format and we encourage you to use them in the best format that works for your church. Use the worship material during the service, include the prewritten emails in newsletters, share videos during class, or post the social media graphics on your website and social channels. For those who still appreciate print resources, we have a special envelope and pew cards that can be ordered here. The resources are for you to engage in the ministry of Human Relations Day.

For suggestions on how to use the material, there is a How to Guide or for those who value a schedule, the planning calendar is the perfect way to consolidate all the opportunities. This year, the official date for Peace with Justice Sunday is June 12, 2022, but we encourage you to celebrate on a day that works best for your church.

Without your generosity, this ministry could not be achieved! You gave $328,463 last year towards ministries funded by the Peace with Justice Special Sunday offering. Half of the funds collected provide grants to local churches, districts, conferences and other affiliated organizations that advocate for peace with justice. The other fifty percent of the offering remains in your annual conference to develop local peace with justice ministries and support a peace with justice coordinator.

Remember you can celebrate this Sunday and any Special Sunday on a day of your choosing.
