Harambee 2021: Apart but Connected!
April 20, 2021
Hello Harambee Family!
We want to remind everyone that Harambee 2021 will be a virtual experience due to COVID-19, and as we shift to this virtual method, our registration will also look a bit different. The end of Early Bird registration is coming up quickly in 2 weeks. Click here for the intended schedule for the weekend.
We are asking that each church register as a group, as opposed to sending in individual registration forms. Churches may register by clicking on each of the links below (please be sure to click on all of them) and completing the necessary information for each person in your group.
The Early Bird Registration fee is $35 per person and the deadline for Early Bird Registration is Friday, April 30, 2021.
Effective May 1st, the Registration Fee will be $50 per person, and the deadline for registration is May 21, 2021.
The registration fee will include a paint kit that will be used for an activity during Harambee. These kits for each group will be mailed to the church. To ensure that your group receives their kits in a timely manner, you MUST be completely registered (and paid) for the event by Friday, May 21, 2021. If you register after this date, you will still receive your kits, however, we can not guarantee that you will receive them in time to use them during Harambee.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you all on June 25-26th for Harambee 2021! Although we will be apart, we will still be connected!

ABOUT HARAMBEE
The word "harambee" is South African in origin and means, "Let's come together." Every other year the national office of Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc sponsors the National BMCR Youth Harambee to celebrate and nurture the gifts, talents, and willing hearts of United Methodist Youth. These events also focus on helping youth and young adults understand BMCR's history, purpose, and focus on equipping and supporting Christian youth. This event is for youths ages 12-18.
