Courage to Lead offered in 2016-17

July 5, 2016

CTL-logoCourage to Lead® is a five event leadership training program  being offered in the Western North Carolina Conference, starting October 19-21, 2016 through October 18-20, 2017 and will be held at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center in Stoneville, N.C. Developed by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal, Courage to Lead® is a new model of leadership development known as leader formation. It is based on the belief that effective leadership is rooted in the identity and integrity of the leader. Courage to Lead® has been carefully designed to create open, disciplined spaces—Circles of Trust®—where you can move from the “what” and “how” questions of leadership to the “who” question and can discover again the deep connection between who you are and what you do. The retreat facilitator is Russ Moxley, a Courage & Renewal facilitator prepared by the Center for Courage & Renewal.  He has led formation retreats with pre-K-12 teachers, educational leaders, health care leaders, nonprofit leaders and clergy leaders from across the southeast, northeast and in Canada.
