Christmas boxes picked up for Project Agape
October 19, 2016
Earlier this month, Jimmy McCormick and Cecil Donahue were at the Conference Office picking up the last of the regional collections of Christmas Shoeboxes for Project Agape. These boxes were prepared by churches from across the conference for children in Armenia.
From September 26-October 4, volunteers picked up boxes from drop-off locations including, Clyde, Asheville, Morganton, Lenoir, Clemmons, Greensboro, Thomasville, China Grove and Charlotte. All of the boxes are headed to the Mission Response Center in Terrell, NC for inventory and preparations for shipping to the Kashatagh region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Dwaine Morgan at the MRC said, "We will have a more exact count following inventory and preparations for shipping." This will be reported around the first of the year.
The Project Agape team thanks all of the churches and individuals who contributed to the project this year and for their constant generosity for those in need.
