PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Location: Mark’s office, Dilworth United Methodist Church, 605 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203
Schedule: 14, 2.5 hour Sessions: October 2013 through May 2014, (two Mondays per month with relaxed schedules during Advent & Lent)
Cost to each pastor: $600 for 14 meetings * If more than 5 participants, cost will be lowered *

Pastoral Leadership Consultation Group Description
Emphases:
Conflict Management, Congregational System Leadership According to Personality Temperament & Self Care
· Practice assessing individuals and congregational decision-making processes
· Practice acting and/or referring appropriate to the type and level of situation or conflict
· Practice utilizing Congregational Systems approaches in pastoral leadership consistent with your own personality temperament
· Self-evaluating current self-care strategies, with additional ideas and support for new strategies
Additional readings will follow group members' emerging needs.
Through verbatim presentations of your current work and guided supportive discussions the group process aids the presenter and group in:
· addressing current congregational issues and difficulties in a supportive, honest and confidential setting
· practicing new perspectives in the readings in current parish situations
· discussing and strengthening understandings of pastoral identity,
pastoral leadership, discerning one’s unique, specific strengths and growing edges, transforming decision-making processes
