Every year during our Annual Conference, we pause to recognize outstanding lay and clergy leaders. This year, as part of our COVID-19 response, we will be presenting these awards during a live, online webinar. Please plan to join us by Zoom webinar (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82095408939 ) on Monday, August 3rd, at 7:00 PM for the presentations of the Harry Denman Evangelism Award and the Francis Asbury Award.

The Foundation for Evangelism partners with annual conferences to realize the vision of being a catalyst to equip disciples to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Each year, through the Harry Denman Evangelism Award, Annual Conferences and the Foundation for Evangelism recognize one youth, one clergy, and one lay person in each annual conference whose exceptional ministry of evangelism brings people into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Named for early-American Methodist Bishop, Francis Asbury, this award honors his call to establish a school in the vicinity of every church. “We must,” he said, “...give the key of knowledge to your children, and those of the poor in the vicinity of your small towns and villages."
Today, the award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to fostering United Methodist ministries in higher education at the local, district, or annual conference level. It is awarded annually to one honoree per annual conference.
