The conference is thrilled to partner with Hinton Rural Life Center to offer Youth Mental Health First Aid virtual training on November 21, 2020.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach adults who regularly interact with young people how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addiction challenge or is in crisis. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD), and eating disorders. Learn more here.

Each participant will be required to complete approximately 2 hours of independent pre-work then attend a 5.5-hour virtual live training event (includes lunch break) from 9:30am - 3pm on November 21, 2020.

The fee for this training is $50 per person. Scholarships are available (as part of the online registration form).

Click here to register today! Registration closes 11/10/20.
