Hurricane Relief Supply Drop-Offs
Relief supplies collected by individuals and churches are now being accepted. Supplies can be dropped off to the Mission Response Center in Terrell (8973 Greenwood Road) Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. beginning November 2, 2018. Supplies can also be dropped off to the Cole Relief Center in Charlotte (2022 West Sugar Creek Road) Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are collecting cleaning and hygiene kits, cases of water, packaged tarps, N95 or surgical masks, unused nitrile or work gloves, duct tape, unused bleach, and/or unused smocks. Volunteers are welcome to serve during those hours as well.
Early Response Teams
Do you have an ERT-led work team that is ready to serve? If so, contact the leadership in Eastern North Carolina at 888-440-9167, South Carolina at 803-726-3105. Districts in Florida are not yet ready to receive out-of-conference volunteers. We remind those wishing to provide assistance to please not self-deploy or donate unsolicited items. Many areas are still engaged in emergency response efforts.
Early Response Team Supplies
If your ERT-led work team is scheduled to travel to Eastern North Carolina or South Carolina, the Cole Relief Center in Charlotte has supplies that you can take with you. We have 2,400 verified cleaning buckets for you to provide those affected by the hurricanes and relief supplies you can use or borrow to make your response easier. Visit the Cole Relief Center on Fridays from 10am-4pm.
Get Trained to Serve
We have two Early Response Team training events scheduled. More information here. Does your church want to host an Early Response Team training? Request a training here
Assemble UMCOR relief supply kits
