Mision Adonai – Where the Good News is Shared in Word and Deed

But thank God, who is always leading us around through Christ as if we were in a parade. He releases the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere through us.

It amazes me greatly that it was only by the grace of God and His profound love that I have come to Him, and we are reconciled because of the sacrifice of Christ Jesus. But it amazes me even more to think that God has willed that through each one of those who are redeemed, those who have been rescued, those who have been bought by the price of His precious blood, the good news has been made known in Asheboro, North Carolina, and the surrounding cities. For me, this great privilege is simply a marvelous and incomprehensible.

In order for our brothers and sisters to receive a message from our lives, we have some victories and a message of reconciliation to announce: the good news has transformed us and continues to transform us every day that we follow in the footsteps of the One who is the way, the truth and the life… We are not silent. “We go and take the good news.” That is the natural way of live. The work of the Spirit in our lives is the testimony, and wherever we are and whatever activity we undertake, it is in the place where God wants to spread His message, so that in all, He may be glorified… God loves us and chose us before the foundation of the world to reveal himself in our lives by the work of our Lord Jesus Christ so that in our union with God we participate in His eternal plans.

We work and serve in the community of Asheboro, using our talents and giving grace to all because we have received grace from God; but we are not satisfied with that. We have not been sent to invest our lives and do good things for others, but to give them, above all, the precious Good News that has transformed us… This is my desire every day: above all, to do my job with excellence. There is a passion that burns in my life and gives meaning to my work in this place.

To have eyes that are open to our neighbors, and to their families, and to all the people who are in this community… This is my prayer to God. I continue praying every day for opportunities, for open doors, for willing hearts, so that God will place us on the road with people who want to follow the One who is “The way, the truth, and the Life.”

We reach our community through English and computer classes, math classes after school, Bible school in the summer, visits from house to house, one lunch per month for our neighbors (which feeds between 30 and 40), immigration workshops, evangelism on our streets from house to house, worship services three times per week, Bible studies each Tuesday, Friday prayer meetings, workshops for young people (“Your Choices Randolph” at the Randolph Pregnancy Care Center), hospital visits, visits to prison, resources for dealing with domestic violence, and this year on October 10^th we will have a health fair for the community of Asheboro.

God has shown us that our prayers have been heard and that they are being answered in this place. Dear ones, thank you for being on this journey with us and for praying for us in this great challenge.

We give thanks to God for the ministry of “Justice and Reconciliation.” This past year, we experienced certain problems when we were asked to change the Mission to a [self-sustaining] Church. Because of the immigrant people with whom we work, it is difficult to be self-sustaining as a congregation. We had two options: be a [self-sustaining] church or close. I prayed and cried out to God and He heard me. The ministry of “Justice and Reconciliation” intervened through the Rev. Paige Ann Miller. Because of this, we were able to continue working for the Kingdom of God.

I have often felt this way – faint, without feeling, sad in the midst of storms and worry and anguish! But this is when I think that whether these times are sporadic or at times intense and prolonged, they are a blessed opportunity in the hands of our God to fill us with the virtues of the new life that we have received through Jesus. If Jesus had not sent me help through these ministries that watch over the people of God…

It is then that I know, more and more, that before all else I need the presence of our God. To contemplate his beauty through the people I serve, like the smile of a child, the shaking hand of a senior adult who needs a prayer – this is where God’s glory is manifested, and my eyes are open to His majesty, to know more and more that in His presence. In his intimate presence, I am transformed. I am stronger. I am loved. He gives me life, no matter what our circumstances. And through all of this we are able to share what we receive by grace.

In times like these, we can undoubtedly feel knocked down but not destroyed, and we come through these difficulties praising our God with a thankful heart bearing the fruit of our affliction: and this so that the glory of God will be seen in the community of Asheboro where God has placed us.

Through all these months, we continue with joy the work that God has entrusted to me, defining strategies and vision and taking to God in prayer the things that I hope to see continue in this work that God has placed in my hands.

This work is not easy, and the majority of the time the fruit is not immediately visible. However, I do not get discouraged because I am convinced that the Holy Spirit is my guide.

The mission of Misión Adonai is:

To spread the love of God among those in the most need, serving them with specific actions through which Christian principles become visible, encouraging holistic development so that they may better their lives through the Gospel.

Mas a Dios gracias, el cual nos lleva siempre de triunfo en triunfo en Cristo Jesús, y por medio de nosotros se manifiesta en todo lugar el olor de su conocimiento.

Me asombra en gran manera que fue únicamente la gracia de Dios y su profundo amor lo que más he alcanzado  y nos ha reconciliado por medio de el sacrificio de Cristo Jesús, pero  mi asombro crece aun mas al pensar que a Dios le plació que por medio de cada uno de los redimidos, los rescatados, los comprados a costa de su preciosa sangre, se diera a conocer su evangelio en todo Asheboro NC, y ciudades circunvecinas, para mí, simplemente es maravilloso e incomprensible este gran privilegio.

Así que hermanos tenemos un mensaje en nuestras vidas, tenemos una victorias que anunciar y un mensaje de reconciliación: el evangelio que nos ha transformado y nos sigue transformando cada día siguiendo las pisadas de aquel que es el camino la verdad y la vida…….No callemos.  “Vayamos y llevemos el evangelio.” Eso es la manera natural que debemos vivir. La obra de su Espíritu en nuestras vidas  es el testimonio y donde quiera que estemos o sea cual sea nuestra actividad  que desarrollemos, es en el lugar que Dios quiere esparcir su mensaje para que en todo El sea glorificado…. Dios nos amo y nos recogió antes de la fundación del mundo para revelarse  a nuestras vidas por medio de la obra de nuestro Señor Jesucristo para que en nuestra unión con El  participemos en sus propósitos eternos.

Trabajamos y servimos en la comunidad de Asheboro poniendo nuestros talentos dando de gracia todo lo  que por gracia hemos recibido de parte de nuestro Dios, pero no nos conformamos  con eso. No hemos sido enviados a invertir nuestras vidas y hacer buenas cosas por los demás sino a darles por encima de todo el precioso  evangelio que nos ha transformado…. Ese es mi anhelo cada día, más allá de hacer mi trabajo con excelencia. Hay una pasión que arde en mi vida y que le da sentido a esta labor en este lugar:

Que sean abiertos los ojos a nuestros vecinos, y a sus familias, y a toda la gente que está en esta comunidad……..Ese es mi clamor a Dios. Orando cada día por oportunidades, por puertas abiertas, por corazones dispuestos, para que Dios  nos  ponga en el camino con personas que quieran seguir al que es ” El camino la verdad y la Vida”.

Llegamos a nuestra comunidad a través de a través de las clases de ingles y computación, clases de matemáticas después de la escuela, escuela bíblica de verano, visitas de casa en casa, una vez al mes almuerzo para nuestros vecino (asisten entre 30 y 40), talleres de inmigración, evangelismo en la calle y de casa en casa, servicios de alabanza, tres veces por semana, estudios bíblicos  cada martes, viernes oración, talleres para jóvenes (“Your Choices Randolph” en el Randolph Pregnacy Care Center Visitas al hospital, visitas a la prisión, recursos contra la violencia doméstica, y este año para el día 10 de Octubre tendremos la feria de la salud para toda la  comunidad de Asheboro.

Dios nos muestra que las oraciones son escuchadas y que El se está dando a conocer en este lugar.

Amados gracias por caminar  y orar con nosotros en este gran reto.

Damos gracias a Dios por el ministerio de ” Justicia y Reconciliación” El año pasado pasamos por ciertos problemas debido a que se nos pide que cambiemos de Misión a Iglesia. Debido a la gente inmigrante con la que trabajamos es difícil ser sostenida solo por la congregación, Teníamos dos opciones o ser Iglesia o cerrarla. Ore, clame a Dios y El me escucho, allí fue como  el ministerio de ” Justicia y reconciliación”  intervino  a través  de la Rev. Paige Ann Miller. De esta manera  hemos podido continuar trabajando para el Reino de Dios.

De esta manera muchas veces he sentido – desfallecer, sin ánimo con tristeza, con tormentas de preocupación y angustia! Pero allí es cuando pienso que estos estados a veces esporádicos o a veces intensos y prolongados, son una bendita oportunidad en las manos de nuestro Dios para ejercitarnos en las virtudes de la nueva vida que hemos recibido atraves de Jesús. Si El Señor no me hubiera ayudado enviando estos ministerios que velan por el pueblo de Dios…….

Es allí cuando comprendo, más y más, que antes que cualquier cosa lo que más necesito es buscar la presencia de nuestro Dios. Contemplar su hermosura por medio de la gente que sirvo – como es la sonrisa de un niño, la mano temblorosa de un anciano necesitado de una oración – es allí donde se manifiesta su Gloria, y mis ojos son abiertos a su majestad, para conocerlo mas y mas por que en su presencia , en su intimidad soy transformada. Soy fortalecida. Soy amada. El me infunde vida, sin importar cuales sean nuestras circunstancias. Y a través de todo esto poder compartir lo que por gracia  recibimos.

Es en momentos así cuando sin duda podemos sentirnos derrotados pero nunca destruidos y saldremos de las dificultades exaltando a nuestro Dios con un corazón agradecido viendo el fruto de nuestra aflicción: Y que su gloria sea vista en esta comunidad de Asheboro que es donde El nos ha puesto.

Durante todos estos últimos meses sigo continuando con gozo la labor que El Señor me ha encomendado, definiendo algunas estrategias  visualizándolas y llevándolas en oración, cosas que espero ver al continuar con esta jornada que El Señor a puesto en mis manos.

Esta tarea no es fácil y la mayoría de veces el fruto no es visible de inmediato. Sin embargo, no me desanimo pues estoy convencida que el Espíritu Santo es quien me guía.

El Amor De Misión Adonai en acción es:

 Extender el amor de Dios entre los más necesitados sirviéndoles con acciones especificas donde se hagan visibles los principios cristianos, favoreciendo su desarrollo pleno e integral para mejorar su calidad de vida a través de El Evangelio.
