WNCC Disaster Response helps Woodchuckers keep Western NC warm this winter

WNCC Disaster Response and the Mission Response Center delivered two log splitters to the Hinton Rural Life Center to assist with their firewood ministry, the Woodchuckers.


EducationNC shares the story of the Woodchuckers, a group of volunteers who meet weekly to chop wood for their neighbors. Hinton Rural Life Center and the Woodchuckers work to combat winter's cold and ease the burden of electrical bills of Clay County residents by providing warmth through firewood.
