Emails from Bishop Leeland

We have been made aware that some of you have received emails pretending to be from Bishop Leeland from an email address not on the wnccumc.org domain. Please note that this is a spoofed email and you should not reply to it. All emails from the Bishop or any staff members will come from the official wnccumc.org domain. If there are any links, please do not click them. 

From time to time, third parties attempt to access your personal information by forging the headers of an email and thus pretend to be someone they are not. Here is a great article about it from Cisco. These forged emails provide links that can capture your personal information or attempt to request information directly from you.
