Chris Hampton joins conference staff as webmaster

June 4, 2018

Chris Hampton will be joining the Western North Carolina Conference staff as Webmaster as of June 4.

He is a lifelong United Methodist who grew up in Thomasville, NC. He attended UNC-Charlotte where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and a minor in Computer Science.

At UNC-Charlotte, Chris was very active with Niner United, the United Methodist campus ministry led by Rev. Steve Cheyney.  He has worked as a Youth Minister in Concord, NC and has served as Lay Associate Campus Minister at UNC-Charlotte for the past four years.

Over the past two years, Chris has consulted and designed many websites and databases for the Mission Engagement Team of the Western North Carolina Conference and various churches throughout North Carolina. His passion for technology, though, dates back to high school, and he has managed multiple websites and web projects for over ten years.

Chris has a passion for intersecting ministry and technology and looks forward to the many ways to help make the web a platform to use to further the ministry of the Western North Carolina Conference.

Chris is a Certified Candidate and attends Union Presbyterian Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He currently attends and is a member of First United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC.
