Bishop Leeland "fills in" for Metro District leadership event
February 3, 2018
What happens when your speaker for a leadership event falls ill? Call on your bishop.
The Metro District Leadership Training Event has been on the calendar for months. Rev. Stephanie Hand, the Metro District Vitality Strategist, was scheduled to teach: How to be a Disciple Making Church at the leadership event on Saturday, February 3rd.
Hand, reportedly came down with the flu, and Bishop Paul Leeland pitched in at the last minute. He called his session, "Growing the Church."
It should be noted that Bishop Leeland has a passion for growing churches, and during his years as a pastor in the North Carolina Conference, he was known for his ability to grow and revitalize congregations.
It was a blessing for all who attended the workshop to hear from their Resident Bishop about growing churches.
