"Connect" Launches on January 7th

WHAT IS CONNECT? It is a weekly, 30 minute live broadcast on BlogTalkRadio. We will be conversing with United Methodists across the connection. In the beginning, mainly with persons from the Western North Carolina Conference.  But, as we continue the process, we will include persons far and wide. Each show will feature a guest (or guests) who will talk about those things that they are passionate about, why they are United Methodists, and what they would like to contribute to the future of the church. HOW DO WE CONNECT WITH THE SHOW? We give you plenty of options:

• Listen to the show live at the BlogTalkRadio page.
• Listen to recorded shows at that same page or in our Show Archives
• After we get a few shows under our belts, we will have our own podcast list at iTunes.

HOW DO WE LISTEN LIVE? We will begin live shows on January 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM, then every Wednesday for the projected future, we will broadcast a new show at 11:00 AM. In the beginning, you will be able to use the chat feature to communicate during the show. After we get comfortable with the process, you will be able to call in and talk with the guests and host. WHO IS THE HOST? Michael Rich, the Conference Web & Communications Manager, is the host of the show. Among the many things he has done in his career, he worked with WMYN/WLOE Radio while he was a pastor in Mayodan, NC.  He hosted regular interview shows, covered football, and produced several special programs for the station.
