Clergy Debt Reduction Loan Program Creating good stewards of God’s financial resources Application Deadline August 1, 2016

The Clergy Debt Reduction Loan Program is now available. Loans will be offered at 1.5% interest for a period not to exceed 15 years in an effort to relieve clergy of paralyzing debt that can result in physical, emotional, and spiritual burden. This program is a partnership of the United Methodist Foundation of Western North Carolina, Inc. and The Board of Pension and Health Benefits, Inc., The Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church.

Active clergy in good standing, physically residing within the geographical boundaries of, and serving at least ½ compensation time to an Episcopal appointment made by the resident Bishop of The Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church are encouraged to apply. Applications are available on the Foundation’s website at www.umfwnc.org and are due by August 1, 2016. Recipients will be selected by the Clergy Debt Reduction Loan Team and will be notified by September 7, 2016. Questions can be directed via email to Tammy Lehman at tlehman@umfwnc.org.
