WNCC gets largest attendance award from Harambee

July 19, 2017

The word Harambee is South African in origin and means “Let’s Pull Together.” During June 25-29, 2017, the Western North Carolina Conference had 51 attendees at the 20th Anniversary Harambee Conference at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. We were able to “Pull Together” with each other and with hundreds of other youth in the Southeastern Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church. These experiences, underwritten by generosity, prayers, faith and love made visible through persons and agencies of our Conference, we will continue to “pull together” in The United Methodist Church for years to come.
