The Farm at The Children’s Home in Winston-Salem has grown and cut a sorghum maze adventure and is inviting Methodist church groups to come at a discounted rate.
The HOME MAZE & Pumpkin Patch is open weekends from Sept. 19 through Nov. 1. Participants will find their way through an adventure trail more than two miles long. Additionally, there are kids’games, a pumpkin chucker, a cow train ride for the littlest ones and other activities to enjoy on site. Plan for a two to three hour visit.
Additionally, you can:
- Enjoy concessions that will be available.
- Participate in other games and activities including a toddler hay maze, photo cutouts, kids’ play area and more.
- Purchase your seasonal decorations and pumpkins.

Cost: Normally $10 per person.
For Methodist church groups that plan ahead, tickets are just $8 per person.
Time: Plan a Sunday visit to take advantage of special rate, Noon to 6 p.m. Hours can be extended with notification ahead of time, and with supplying 1 adult volunteer per 15 children to assist our crew.
You must schedule your group in advance, and payment must be madewith one check at time of arrival. All members of your group – kids, parents and chaperones – must enter together.
Your participation supports The Children’s Home, an agency founded by Western Conference United Methodists in 1909 to serve children and families by providing safety, love, education and therapy in times of critical need.
