Rev. Randy Harry Installed as Smoky Mountain DS

The Smoky Mountain District installed the Rev. Randy Harry as their new Superintendent on August 16th at Memorial Chapel at Lake Junaluska, NC.
The service of worship included clergy and laity from across the district, and included the former superintendent, Rev. Amy Coles, and Bishop Goodpaster introduced Harry to the District.
Harry was presented with the signs and tools of the District Superintendent that included: the Bible, Water, Bread and Cup, Hymnal and Book of Worship, Towel and Basin, Stole, The Book of Discipline and the Globe.
Harry preached a sermon entitled "The True Vine and Its Branches" on the Gospel Lesson chosen for the service (John 15:1-17). His wife, Kristen read the Gospel during the service, and his daughter, Wren, was the acolyte.
A reception was held at the Foundation for Evangelism (the location of the Smoky Mountain District office) following the service.
