Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Scheduled for January 17

WNCC MLK Celebration  2015The Western North Carolina Conference 2015 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 17th at Crossroads UMC in Concord. The service will begin at 10 am (doors open at 9:00 am) followed by lunch. The theme for this year's celebration is: Changing the Atmosphere: Be Not Conformed, but Transformed.  Join Bishop Larry Goodpaster and friends from across Western NC as we celebrate Dr. King and recommit ourselves to his important work. The day will feature fellowship, worship and music, along with panel and small group dialogues about how we can take up Dr. King’s call to transform the world around us. An offering will be received for the Children’s Home. Reservations are appreciated by Wednesday, January 14. $5 will be collected at the door to defray the cost of lunch.
