A Message of Peace From Bishop Carter
|
Take a look at this Advent Message from Bishop Carter as we continue with the second Sunday of Advent.
This week we light the second candle - the candle of Peace. Jesus made peace between humanity and God (1 John 2:2). Therefore, everyone who believes in Jesus’ divinity and resurrection (Romans 10:9) achieves peace with God. Their sins are paid for, and they gain eternal life (John 3:16). What fills you with peace this Christmas season?

Both/And Cohort Grant Applications Now Open
|
The Church Development Office, in partnership with the UM Foundation and the Reynolds Ministry Fund, is excited to offer the 4th Round of the BOTH/AND Hybrid Worship Cohort Grant. The goal is to help churches in the WNCC grow in their understanding and practice of hybrid worship by providing a framework, discovering and experimenting with best practices, and upgrading equipment (as needed) as we emerge into our post-pandemic reality. As we faithfully improve the quality and practice of hybrid worship, we know that we will engage more people and connect them to God and to one another.
This grant process and experience is intended to support churches as they explore and implement best practices for faithfully developing and deploying BOTH In-Person AND Online worship. The foundational core of this grant is about building relationships through Hybrid ministries that create PARTICIPANTS – not viewers.
Applications will be accepted through January 8, 2023.
